Our Mission
At SkillSharingSD, our mission is simple: to democratize knowledge and build community connections in San Diego. We believe that everyone has something valuable to teach and that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn.
Why We Started
Founded in 2018 by a group of San Diego educators and community organizers, we noticed a growing disconnect between generations and neighborhoods. Many seniors had incredible skills but no one to pass them on to, while young professionals and students were eager to learn practical skills but couldn't afford expensive classes.
